Odalisk Violetta in Grey Finish on Copper
Sylvan Collection
Odalisk
These voluptuous baroque shapes suggest something naughty – they have been named after infamous mistresses from history and the stage. Violetta Valery is the courtesan from the opera La Traviata, famous for her lavish parties. Nell refers to Nell Gwyn, favourite of King Charles II, Satine to the cabaret dancer and courtesan from Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, and ZaZa, a 19th century courtesan from a popular play.
